Episode #5: Escort to Information

"Another one?" Drew grit his teeth. "Just like with the droid facility..."

"These things have rock hard defense...and hit harder..." Streak said, recalling his experience in dealing with one. "And yet, they're being piloted remotely..."

"The one who's controlling it is stronger than this..." Zukai recalled from the briefing.

"Remember what our job is," Drew said semi-secretively.

"It won't work..." The robot said, lowering in altitude. "I'll make quick work of you and then destroy the building along with the others..."

"Just try!" Drew yelled.

Zach, Terra, and Makuta continued through the halls, blasting droids.

"The room with the terminal should be one floor up, on the left!"

"Is that so?" Makuta asked, forming a ki ball in one hand. "Alright then..."

The Namekian stopped dead in his tracks, and threw the attack straight up, blasting a giant hole in the ceiling and allowing direct access to the floor above...

Zukai brought his sword to the ready.

Nadie looked slightly afraid, but she was able to 'mask' it, although anyone who had a sense could tell she was more nervous then afraid, "R...Right, we can do this.." She whispered to herself.

"Hmmm." The robot looked at it's enemies, "I'll let you baboons have the first move."

The three quickly jumped up into the room above, and the large computer was easy to spot.

"Well, hurry up an get to work..." Makuta said. Terra gave a nod as he made his way to the computer.

"I'll check on the others..." Zach said, brining his hand to his scouter.

"Don't, distracting them could be fatal..." Makuta warned, sitting down in the middle of the room.

The robot continued to lower in altitude, as Drew tensed up, preparing for his first strike.

"Who're you callin' a baboon?!"

Drew leapt up at the robot, aiming to throw a punch, but his fist was caught. The robot then spun around, still holding on to the Saiyan's forearm, before throwing him into the ground. A yellow ball of lightning raced towards him, but the BT Robo effortlessly blocked the attack by crossing its arms. The fight continued with Corey and Streak trying for a dual attack by jumping at the now ground-level assailant, but the BT Robo cut loose with a large, narrow Ki wave that scraped along the ground. The young Saiyan and hedgehog quickly jumped apart, and watched as the energy wave created a deep fissure that threated to bisect anything in its path...

Nadie jumped out of the way as the attack sliced through the midsections of numerous trees, finally dispersing.

Zukai appeared above the robot, his sword slightly glowing at the edge of the blade. He slashed down as he fell, the sword catching on it's shoulder. Sparks.

The machine rose it's arm, swatting the saiyan away, only a small dent in it's metallic skin. Zukai was sent into Streak, who in turn began to skid along the ground until they stopped.

"It's a good thing we have these things. Saves me from getting my hands dirty for nothing!" The voice emitted as the robot lunged at Drew, who began to guard in reaction. The mechanical arm impacted with Drew, as his feet slightly dug into the ground.

Drew continued to defend from the robot's attack, straining to keep himself protected. Corey managed to land a kick to the robot's face, but the robot barely budged, and used its free hand to backhand Corey away. The Saiyan leaned back, carrying the robot forward, but his kick upwards was defended. However, with his other leg, he managed to land a quick kick to the side of the robot's head, stunning it slightly.

"Damn it...what the hell is this thing made out of...I can't tell if I'm hurting these things or not half the time..."

Nadie charged the robot, throwing an energy slice as she moved. However, the BT Robo reacted in a similar manner, creating another wave of energy that would cut anything in it's path.

The speed of the wave was faster then Nadie could notice, and was only barley able to get out of the way before the machine used that to it's advantage, grabbing her by the arm, and throwing her around. Nadie was sent into Corey and Drew in that order.

While Corey, Drew, and Nadie busied themselves with recovering from being thrown into one another, Streak formed into lightning once more. He landed a series of powerful strikes at the robot's chest, yellow lightning crackling off of his arms and each impact he made, but the BT Robo casually tanked his attacks without so much as flinching.

Terra began to plug in his PDA into a port. The terminal branched out into a larger Super Computer. He began to input data.

"What's taking so long." Makuta asked watching towards one of the possible entry ways, while Zach had another.

"You can't rush these things! Besides, the Mainframe Firewall is going to be harder to crack then I thought. It's using a learning AI wa---"

"Just hurry it up!"

The BT Robo threw it's hand into Streak's face. The hedgehog staggered back, but was pulled in. Then the Robot began to throw a flurry of attacks, finally deciding to fire another flux of energy.

The hedgehog began to glow, and quickly zipped out of the way. But the beams skidded towards the hedgehog as he struggled to evade each change in direction.

Drew recovered from another attack the BT Robo threw his way, and skidded backwards. "Ugh, this is ridiculous! How long does it take to get in..."

He looked among the gathered fighters, "Zukai, Nadie, Streak! Both of you catch up to the others and offer them assistance!"

"Are you su--" Streak started.

"Dammit, animal, don't question me!" And there was the term of endearment. "Just go!"

Streak remained idle for a moment, pondering his decision as Corey tried to attack the BT Robo with a stream of basic energy blasts.

Zukai nodded, "If that's what you want, then, " He turned to the hedgehog, "Streak, was it? We should go. Try to keep up."

"...Keep up..?" Streak began to pay attention again, "What do you---"

"Huh?!" Nadie slightly questioned as Zukai picked her up, one arm around her back, and the other under her knees.

"We shouldn't waste any time..." His body blurred slightly as he moved into a pre-running position, "Go!" And in that moment he blitzed away, the trees and grass reacting to the wind generated by the sudden burst of speed. That wind was followed by a yellow streak of light.

And so they made their way for the second group.

"Grrr..." Makuta turned to the brown haired scientist, "How long now?"

There was a bar in the middle of the screen with four asterisks lined up. Terra pressed more buttons on the keypad of his PDA.

A figure formed next to the asterisks before changing into another. A vein appeared on his head, "Dammit! Don't rush me. I told you it'd take time to crack this firewall!"

In the sudden anger, he pressed a key wrongly, causing the screen to flash a red color.

Access Denied

"..." Terra quickly shifted his expression in worry, "Uhh...Oops!"

"It's just the two of us now..." Drew said. "Remember your training..."

"Right..." Corey said.

"What can a baboon and a chimp do against me?" asked the BT Robo condescendingly.

"This!!"

Drew's call urged the two to rush forward, Corey speeding forward ahead of Drew. The young Saiyan quickly launched a series of jabs at the BT Robo, but the robot either didn't flinch or parried the strikes. However, the younger Saiyan's attacks were merely a diversion. Drew came in, hammering the robot over its head. However, the robot's head barely moved.

"That's all..."

Drew's ankle was ensnared in the grip, and Corey soon found himself being hit with his own cousin. After that, Drew was thrown away in a different direction.

"Boring."

Terra sighed, "The firewall reset it's security. I have to start all over."

The three had started to make it out of the forest, the building in sight.

Nadie was still shaken by the sudden occurrence. She held onto Zukai as she could see the ground pass by at an alarming rate, slightly startled at how fast things had happened.

Streak continued to move forward, following Zukai's lead. "So where'd they go--"

The group stopped, seeing a massive hole in the ceiling of the floor they were on.

"I think up there would be a good bet..." Zukai observed.

The battle with the BT Robo continued, Corey firing more Ki blasts at the robot while jumping back, not really sure what else to do. Suddenly, Drew appeared behind the BT Robo, grabbing onto it. As the BT Robo attempted to shake off the older Saiyan, he called out to his cousin:

"Corey! Now!"

Corey didn't understand what Drew was saying, "What?"

"That move I tried teaching you...haven't you practiced it?!"

Corey froze, "O-of course!" It was a lie that Drew didn't pick up on. Corey had been a bit too busy finding his own style to practice energy attacks that day, but now he had no choice...He cupped his hands at the side, forming that familiar pose.

"Ka...me..."

"Why are they here...?" Makuta asked as he turned.

"What do you---" Zach's scouter was on standby mode.

A blur followed by a light surfaced from the hole that Makuta had created earlier.

Both Zukai and Streak landed, Zukai letting Nadie down. She placed her hand on her head and began to blink.

"What brings you guys here? We picked up a 140 earlier, did you beat it? Where are the others?"

Streak crossed his arms, "I'm here because---"

"We are here because Drew told us to be." Zukai could tell what Streak would say by the tone of his voice.

"And because I'm a Hedgehog."

"Ha...me..." Corey continued, charging up a small, blue energy ball. The BT Robo managed to shake Drew off, but it was unable to react in time to avoid the boy's beam attack.

"Ha!!!"

Drew's scouter beeped to life as Corey launched his attack. "142...That's not near what it should be..."

The beam hit the chest of the BT Robo, and after some struggle, caused an explosion. However, Drew rose to his feet, knowing the battle was far from over. Sure enough, when the smoke cleared, the only evidence of the damage the robo had suffered was a deep dent in its upper torso.

"And....Done!" Terra shouted as the screen began to flash green
Access Granted

Then it flashed red again

Binary intricate data detected. Bypass disabled. Locking services, locking services.


"What?!" Terra began to back away, "But how could it---"

A machine came to life. It looked like an old fashion camera connected to the computer. The shutter began to glow, and then it sent off a light that hit everyone in the room.
